Is your service really free?
Yes, We provide the service free of charge to encourage property owners to call us instead of buying chemicals and attempting to do it on your own. We collect the insect, sort them, record them and ship them to labs around the world that remove the venom from the frozen specimen. The labs pay us in turn for the weight of the insects we collect and provide them if they are chemical free.
Why do they have to be chemical free?
Due to FDA regulation if the insects have any presence of insecticide or chemicals on them they can not be used in production. As the venom is used in Immunotherapy for humans it source of the supply has to tightly regulated and tracked.
When do you collect?
Typically we like to correct in the evening after dusk. This allows us to ensure the insects have returned for the day and gives us the highest success rate. We will let you know a window of when we plan to be at your property. Providing good direction of the location and nest and pictures will help so we won’t have to disturb the occupants at the property. You may see us walking around with red lights we use these to find out way, traditional flash lights could “wake” the insects and cause them to come out of their hive.
